Are you an enthusiastic and energetic nanny who enjoys caring for boys?A fantastic sole charge afternoon nanny position has become available in Barkway, Near Royston, Hertfordshire. The most important thing for this family is that you are a good fit and feel like part of the family.You will be responsible for looking after two charming little boys, aged seven and four. The boys attend school each day.The working hours will be Monday-Thursday, 13.00-20.00 and Friday 13.00-17.00 (32 hours/week). There could be the possibility of ad hoc additional hours in the school holidays, but these hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.A nanny who is organised, adaptable and willing to assist in maintaining a smooth-running household would be ideal.To carry out the school runs and get to after school activities, you should be a careful and confident driver with a clean licence. There will be a fully insured electric car for you to use on duty.The parents are passionate about their children having fun while learning, aiming to meet their various developmental milestones. This involves a mixture of engaging and educational indoor activities such as reading stories, jigsaw puzzles, arts and crafts, imaginative play, baking, and more, along with ample outdoor play in the garden and trips to the park. The boys are active and enjoy tennis, football and swimming.In the school holidays, you'll also have the freedom to take the children on day trips and activities and to meet up with their friends, all while ensuring their safety and happiness.Before you collect the boys from school each day, you will have time to keep them organised. In addition to keeping the areas the children use organised and tidy (kitchen, children's bedrooms, children's bathroom, playroom, etc.), your responsibilities will include helping with the children's laundry. Providing some assistance in maintaining the overall running of the house, such as emptying the dishwasher, running the occasional errand, going to the car wash, etc will also be appreciated, although the family has a weekly cleaner.You'll be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children, with an emphasis on home-cooked as often as possible. Involving the children in the menu planning would be ideal.You will oversee any homework and carry out the bath and bedtime routine, until Mum and Dad are back, ready for you to handover.If you have a genuine passion for children and would relish the opportunity to be part of this lively and friendly family, this could be the perfect role for you.Location of the job: Barkway, Near Royston, Hertfordshire
