- Oversees one highly complex metro in a consistently growing market, with at least one active Data Center expansion at all times.
- Applies deep market knowledge—gathered from customers, brokers, agents, and other sources—to inform strategic execution.
- Sets pricing thresholds and target vertical mix based on market insights and current supply.
- Partners with business development, sales, and executive teams to identify anchor customers for new Data Centers and optimize margins.
- Advises on mergers, acquisitions, and real estate transactions to support long-term growth.
- Defines business case revenue assumptions, including fill rate, pricing, density, product mix, and interconnection percentage.
- Owns performance outcomes relative to business case expectations.
- Leads long-term strategic planning, incorporating trends, pipeline data, and stakeholder input to build bottom-up bookings forecasts.
- Plays a key role in the budgeting process, aligning business cases with revenue targets.
- Applies the principle of “right deal in the right Data Center.”
- Collaborates on commercial offers, particularly for strategic customer acquisition, in partnership with Commercial Solutions, Business Development, and Sales leadership.
- Reviews and approves large or strategic deals that impact business case performance.
- Evaluates and approves concessions, credits, and refunds as appropriate.
- Designs and leads metro- and Data Center-specific programs to drive growth, protect existing ecosystems, and develop emerging ones.
- Monitors market share and drives progress toward market leadership.
- Builds relationships with brokers, agents, and key metro stakeholders to gather demand insights and increase visibility of Equinix offerings.
- Provides and owns revenue assumptions in business cases and advises on capacity needs in coordination with Managing Directors and Corporate Development.
- Responds to executive inquiries regarding expansion cases, timing, and revenue supportability.
- Identifies and leads initiatives for process improvement and cross-functional alignment.
- Evaluates existing and emerging metrics used by Commercial Finance to assess performance and progress.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred.
- Significant experience in commercial finance, strategic planning, or related fields.
- Proven track record of managing complex financial operations and delivering results in dynamic environments.
