💰 £30 per hour (agency role)Are you a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker with a passion for supporting adults with learning disabilities? We're looking for an experienced practitioner to join a forward-thinking and supportive Adults Learning Disabilities Team in West Yorkshire.

As a Qualified Social Worker, you'll be working with adults with learning disabilities to promote independence, improve quality of life, and support individuals in achieving their personal goals.
You will:
  • Carry out strengths-based Care Act assessments
  • Develop and review person-centred support plans
  • Apply knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding Adults procedures
  • Work closely with families, carers, health professionals, and other agencies
  • Promote independence, inclusion, and dignity
  • Ensure positive, long-term outcomes through evidence-based practice
✅ What We're Looking For
We're seeking a confident and experienced professional who brings empathy, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high-quality social work.
You must have:
  • A degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification)
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience, ideally in adult services
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities or complex needs
  • Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks
  • The ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and care planning skills
  • A reflective, flexible, and person-centred approach to practice
🔑 Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct person-centred assessments and support planning
  • Manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate records
  • Undertake safeguarding enquiries where necessary
  • Promote independence and community engagement
  • Offer advice and guidance to service users, carers, and colleagues
  • Support the professional development of junior staff and students (where required)
