SEND Teaching AssistantRuncorn / Widnes£425-£475 per week depending on experienceAll applicants must show Right to Work in the UKAbout the role:Connex Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a SEND Schools across Halton. We are currently working on full-time tem to perm roles, part-time job share roles and candidates availble day to day to cover absences.About the School:The SEND Schools we are working with cater for pupils aged 2-19 years with a range of needs including Autism, SEMH, SLD, Downs Syndrome, GDD and PMLD. As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will be required to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, to help break down barriers to learning and to assist with personal care. You will provide emotional support, manage behaviour, help to develop life skills and will work as a team with staff members to create a calm and engaging learning environment.Assignment details:The hours are Monday-Friday 8.30am until 3.30pm. Person specification:
  • Experience of supporting children or young adults with additional needs in a School or residential setting
  • Be able to provide emotional support, build relationships with pupils and help them to be the best version of themselves.
  • Able to communicate well and be patient and able to manage behaviour
  • Be willing to assist with personal care
  • Be able to interact well with pupils and staff and able to work well as a team.
  • Able to provide a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
