- Development of Aircraft interior Mock-ups and aircraft seats/suites for shows and presentations.
- Design and development of machines, mechanisms and processes for the production of automotive components, using sensors, pneumatics, linear guidance, Poke Yoke and ‘right first time’ principals of part production.
- Creation of detailed 2D drawings and profiles and 3D models and schematics using either Catia or SolidWorks software.
- Translating design concepts into manufacture, technical assembly and instruction packs.
- Collaboration with the engineering team to develop and modify existing designs and schematics, ensuring they meet project requirements, customer specifications, and standards as well as project budget.
- Review and validation of design drawings and models to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Identify and rectify design errors or discrepancies.
- Maintenance of organised records of design files and versions, including revisions, updates, and annotations. Ensure that documentation is easily accessible and up to date for project teams.
- Assistance in identifying and resolving design-related issues and challenges that arise during the design and manufacturing process.
- You should be proficient in Catia V5 or Solid Works 3d modelling and 2d drawing for engineering.
- Have a good knowledge of industrial design, conveyor systems, automation and production machinery.
- Experience with Automotive Engineering and machinery manufacture such as jigs and fixtures, mould tools and pressure lamination tooling would also be a benefit.
- And a background in the design of complex mechanisms and structures from scratch.
