Ultimately giving you both visibility and influence at every stage.Not only will you be high profile in the business you will receive an excellent salary up to £45K plus a top tier pension scheme, company perks and bonus.What you’ll do in this Sales Engineer roleAs a Sales Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting customer orders from the initial enquiry stage right through to delivery. The position blends technical knowledge with engineering coordination. Therefore requiring strong communication with suppliers, sales, design, manufacturing, and finance teams to ensure solutions meet expectations.Key responsibilities include:
  • Helping prepare with sales detailed documentation for orders before submission.
  • Managing purchase orders and invoices, ensuring accuracy, and using Sage for order processing.
  • Working with Sales, Design, and Production teams to deliver on time and to budget.

What you’ll bring to this Sales Engineer roleYou’ll have a solid technical or engineering background, excellent organisational skills, and the confidence to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.We’re looking for:
  • A degree, HND/HNC in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, or similar) is beneficial but not essential if you have strong practical engineering knowledge.
  • Experience in engineering or technical roles involving product, part, or system delivery into process or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation such as Bills of Materials, and experience with quotations, tenders, and shipping processes.
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Previous customer or supplier-facing experience in a technical environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and ideally experience with a CAD system such as SolidWorks.
