Following the release of ARRS funding for GPs, we are looking to expand our team by seeking to employ newly qualified General Practitioners (you must be within 2 years of certificate of completion of training at the start of employment).You will work on behalf of our practices in Wigan Central PCN. You will work alongside a range of roles with excellent opportunities for multi-disciplinary team working.Main duties of the jobTo perform as an autonomous general practitioner working independently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients attending within a primary care setting. Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers, and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.To undertake duties governed by relevant contracts, including objectives of Direct and Local Enhanced contracts.To be professionally accountable and responsible for all elements of clinical practice in accordance with the GMC code of conduct, ensuring the safety of patients and quality of their care.The post holder will need to be capable of independent travel across the Wigan Central area and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation to support practices and PCN service delivery.
