- The main purpose of this role is to provide support to people with multiple and complex needs as part of a service for those who have lost their home or been rough sleeping.
- You will help a service user to develop the skills needed to move on into independent living/permanent housing via a person-centred support package that is tailor made to suit the needs of everyone accessing the service.
- The role works on a rota to contribute to the staffing of a 24-hours-a-day service.
- The role is full time of 37.5 hours per week. The shift pattern is 7.5 hours a day between the hours of 8am and 8.30pm weekdays, with an occasional weekend shift (currently one every 3 weeks) to deliver activities and some elements of the service outside of “normal working hours”.
- You will be expected to work within the organisation’s charitable aims and objectives and contribute to the maintenance and development of the Association’s values, culture, and ethos.
- Experience of managing a caseload of service users.
- An awareness of issues relating to vulnerable individuals and those that have faced multiple disadvantages.
- Experience in helping others understand their goals and helping them to achieve an outcome.
- Skills in recording and reporting case notes via an online Customer Relationship Management system.
- Experience of working within safeguarding policies and procedures and of identifying, monitoring, and reporting safeguarding concerns.
- A flexible, resilient, thoughtful, therapeutic approach to working with people.
- Practical skills to support service users in activities of daily living required for independence.
- An ability to motivate and empower service users to have greater control and choice over their life and opportunities.
- An ability to demonstrate our values and behaviours and work within our Christian ethos.
- 25 days annual leave – increasing to 30 days with service, plus Bank Holidays
