About the roleWe’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team here at PTSG. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our people agenda at a time when the business is growing and evolving.This is a full time, permanent role, working on a hybrid basis (4 days in the office and 1 from home). You will be based from our open-plan Castleford head office (WF10 5HW), which is just a 5-minute walk from the train station, close to the M62 and A1 and has on-site parking.What you’ll be doing:As HR Advisor, you will partner with managers across the business, working closely with our HR Business Partners and HR Coordinators to provide high-quality, people-focused HR support. You’ll be a trusted advisor to managers, helping them to build engagement and performance in their teams, while ensuring our policies and processes are applied consistently and fairly.Alongside this you will be:
  • Monitoring the workplace culture including turnover and absenteeism
  • Assisting the HR Business Partner with reward benchmarking.
  • Producing monthly HR statistics and reports including headcount, labour turnover, absence and recruitment.
  • Building strong working relationships with managers in the business to aid personal understanding of the key business drivers and to identify potential people and development issues at an early stage.
What we're looking for:
  • Rounded experience of generalist HR support, coupled with a good appreciation of the needs of a commercial organisation.
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Competent PC/database and reporting skills.
  • A flexible, positive, customer focused approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to all activities.
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail, with a continuous improvement approach to tasks and processes.
  • Able to take a pragmatic approach to HR, without compromising professional standards.
  • Appreciation of the importance of the end customer and their impact on internal activities
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent formal recognised training/qualification is desirable
