About the roleAre you an experienced Site Agent with a passion for delivering high-quality projects? Join Balfour Beatty Living Places as we continue to transform Buckinghamshire's highways through our long-term alliance with Buckinghamshire Council.We're looking for a proactive and driven Site Agent to lead the safe and efficient delivery of capital projects across roads, footways, drainage, structures, and general highway civils. This is your opportunity to make a tangible impact in a role that combines technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence.What you'll be doing
  • Manage and deliver a variety of capital works projects using supply chain partners under NEC TMC Option A contracts.
  • Lead site activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including Buckinghamshire Council, design partners, and the public.
  • Use digital tools such as BIM 360 and Site Assist to manage documentation, permitting, and programme delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks including BMS, NHSS, NRSWA, and Street Manager.
  • Drive commercial performance by managing risk, change control, and scheme profitability.
Who we're looking forEssential Qualifications & Experience:
  • Full UK driving licence
  • SMSTS, EUSR, NRSWA Supervisor
  • NVQ Level 3 or 6 in a relevant discipline
  • CSCS Supervisor/Manager card
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, mobile devices)
  • Proven experience in highway maintenance and civil construction (roads, drainage, structures)
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and safety-critical activities
Desirable:
  • Temporary Works Coordinator certification
  • Working towards or holding professional accreditation
