Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Sub Agent with a strong background in structures to join a Tier 1 main contractor delivering major works on the HS2 project in the Buckinghamshire region.This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, overseeing a complex RC structureThe RoleAs a Sub Agent, you will lead and coordinate site operations on structural elements of the HS2 project. Working closely with Section Engineers, Site Engineers, and Agents, you’ll ensure smooth delivery across your assigned work packages while maintaining the highest safety, quality, and programme standards.Key responsibilities include:Overseeing the delivery of structures packagesManaging and mentoring Section Engineers, Site Engineers, and supervisorsSupporting the Agent in delivering programme targets and reporting on progressDriving health & safety compliance across all site operationsReviewing and approving Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and QA documentationCoordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and client representativesMonitoring project costs, risks, and resource requirementsAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will have:Proven experience working on structures within major civil engineering projectsA civil engineering qualification (HNC/Degree preferred)Exposure to Tier 1 main contractor environmentsPrevious experience on HS2 or other large-scale infrastructure projects advantageousStrong leadership and stakeholder management skillsProficiency in reviewing technical drawings and quality documentationValid CSCS card and right to work in the UK
