
Practice Nurse

- Either a recognised nursing diploma or BSc Current registration with the NMC and RCN.
- Recognised and accredited training programmes in Liquid Based Cytology and Family Planning, Warwick Diploma in Diabetic Care or other diabetic qualification Asthma/COPD recognised qualification
- Experience of working in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct Experience with IT systems to record patient care episodes Experience of dealing with the public/patients Experience of multi-skilled approach to Chronic Disease Management
- Experience of working in General Practice Experience of working with Emis clinical system
- An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality Able to demonstrate enthusiasm to developing nursing skills Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense Act as a mentor to Health Care Assistants Ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities Ability to work as part of an integrated multi-skilled team Pleasant and articulate, caring Be able to remain calm under pressure and work in a constantly changing environment. Be able to work on own initiative and without direct supervision.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be confident, professional and compassionate at all times. Knowledge and understanding of current national developments and trends in health care, quality assurance and practice development Assess and develop risk management protocols Implement strategies for quality assurance and quality audit Evidence of innovative practice Computer literate
- Experience of working with new technologies in health care practice eg Microsoft teams/webcam use Understanding of clinical coding and recall systems
