We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our Respiratory secretarial team at Doncaster Royal Infirmary permanently.Main duties of the jobYou will be required to maintain a high standard of administrative support to the Respiratory team ensuring that robust systems are in place for the efficient end to end patient pathway. Ensure that digital transcriptions are managed timely in accordance with Trust expectation. Provide proactive waiting list coordination to ensure patients are booked in line with clinical priority and national/local waiting times and to support the best use of capacity for patient pathway.About usDBTH is one of Yorkshire's Leading acute trusts, serving a population of more than 440,000.   • Minimum of 3 GCSEs including English and Maths at Grade C or above or suitable equivalent qualification
  • RSA III or NVQ III or suitable equivalent level administrative qualification
  • ECDL or equivalent qualification / demonstrable experience
Desirable
  • Business Administration Level II Apprenticeship

  • A methodical and organised approach to work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate data entry, typing and checking skills
  • Ability to deal calmly and diplomatically with a range of personalities and situations

Knowledge & ExperienceEssential
  • Previous experience working in a clerical/administrative role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word

  • Knowledge of Referral to Treatment Patient Access Policies and procedures
  • Fully conversant with all waiting list functions on PAS and the ability to action these independently.
  • Thorough knowledge of health care system and processes

  • Understanding of patient priorities and targets in relation to appointments and waiting times
