We are one of the leading consumer circular economy businesses In Europe and the second largest bike rental business in the world.We are looking for an experienced Site Operations Director to lead our UK production and logistics operation. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the CCO, managing our Rainham refurbishment site. Your primary objective will be to lead the production, warehousing and logistics teams (FTE 25-35) to drive profitable growth and excellent delivery experiences for our UK based customers.We are seeking a practical and highly motivated Site Director, with strong leadership, people management skills and able to connect with warehouse employees and wider office based managements. Working in a fast-paced and frequently evolving operational environment, you must be a natural solution finder with a calm, positive mindset and proven capability of delivering fast change with minimal disruption. You will be required to present insights and report back on operational performance on a regular basis.Tasks
  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations across warehouse, production, and logistics.
  • Oversee medium- to long-term planning for our Rainham site.
  • Drive consistent usage and improvement of our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Ensure product and spare parts supply in collaboration with Merchandising and Business Operations.
  • Optimise picking and goods flow to support the workshop's build schedule.
  • Build, oversee, and continuously improve the refurbishment workshop, ensuring high quality and efficiency.
  • Define and track KPIs and performance metrics in collaboration with the CCO.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors.
  • Manage all aspects of people leadership: hiring, performance, exits, and development.
  • Align output with company forecasts through effective production planning.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe warehouse, with reliable material flows.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and all legal obligations.
  • Oversee facilities maintenance and site safety standards.
  • Manage relationships with logistics partners and suppliers to ensure service excellence.
  • Proactively solve bottlenecks and site issues to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements
  • Have 7-10 years experience leading operational teams of 20+ people.
  • Bring a strong background in customer-centric, high volume operations with both aesthetic and mechanical outputs.
  • Are a hands-on leader, equally comfortable on the warehouse floor and in management meetings.
  • Have proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams.
  • Are confident with MS Office, reporting, and presenting to senior stakeholders (experience with Asana, Slack, Salesforce a plus).
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to compile reports from multiple data sources.
  • Have experience managing and proposing department budgets.
  • Take pride in delivering against production, dispatch, accuracy, and FTE targets.
  • Enjoy leading people to succeed and collaborating closely with senior leadership.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
