
Consultant Cardiologist Adult Congenital Heart Disease

- oBasic medical degree
- oMRCP or appropriate specialist qualification
- oFull GMC Registration with a licence to practice
- oCCT in Cardiology or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
- oEntry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
- oHigher Degree
- oFormal training ACHD
- oComprehensive clinical experience in ACHD
- oFormal training in advanced cardiac imaging
- oAccreditation in ECHO and/CMR (BSE/ESC/SCMR or equivalent
- oFormal training in inherited cardiac conditions (aortopathy)
- oFormal training in obstetric cardiology
- oExpertise in advanced Cardiac imaging
- oBreadth of experience in and outside specialty
- oExperience and ability to work in multi-professional teams
- oUnderstanding of: NHS / Clinical governance / Resource constraints
- oEvidence of managerial skills: Achievements / Course attended
- oEvidence of an interest and commitment to teaching
- oRecognised teaching qualification
- oEvidence of participation in audit
- oResearch experience
- oPublications
- oPrizes and honours
- oAppropriate progression of career to date
- oEvidence of:- Good communication skills both
