The Team is part of a wider Directorate, which includes the Legal and Information Teams.The Finance Team contributes to UNICEF UK's positive impact for children by working with the wider organisation to maximise the value of our supporters' donations and to safeguard our funds and assets.We implemented a new finance system in January 2025, enabling more efficient business processes and improved financial reporting for data driven decision making to support the organisation to maximise impact for children around the world.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Systems Accountant is a key member of the Financial Control Team, responsible for administration, and maintenance of our Finance System (Unit 4 ERPx), as well as overseeing its ongoing development to ensure we are maximising the benefits and efficiencies that it can bring to our financial processes. The role will work closely with our third-party support partner, Head of Financial Control, and Information Team colleagues.What we will expect you to achieveAdministration and maintenance of Finance platform (Unit 4 EPRx). For example, user access, workflow management, COA, attributes and relations, user access and roles maintenance.Lead on management of support desk ticket queries, including responding with technical support to colleagues, and allocation of tickets to relevant team members.Work with Head of Financial Control to ensure end-to-end processes and interfaces with other business systems are in place and operating effectively.Primary contact for third party providers - Unit 4 and support partner.Lead on testing required for quarterly updates, development or integration work.Monitor system performance to ensure normal functionalityDevelop and maintain standard reports libraryLead on management of the development requirements, working with the Head of Financial Control to strategically prioritising activities.Proactively identify training needs for Unit 4 platform, based on common queries from wider organisation and Finance Team, developing relevant materials and training sessions, supported by Head of Financial Control.Ensure systems comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, e.g. VAT compliance, data protection, UUK policies.Demonstrate and model a commitment to our shared values, behaviours and inclusive practices (known as ) in all aspects of your work.BEHAVIOURS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSThis section contains the essential behaviours, experience, knowledge and skills needed in order to be effective and successful in this role.
