As well as the headquarters in Stockport, BASF plc has sites in Alfreton, Bradford, Widnes and Bury St Edmunds.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTLooking for a hands-on role in a high-quality manufacturing environment? Join us at the BASF plc Widnes site, where your skills in production and working with complex machinery will help deliver essential pest control solutions. In this role your responsibilities will include:
  • You will be expected to manufacture and pack various powder/wheat and liquid mix products using complex machinery, as well as minimise losses and spillages.
  • You will ensure that you work in a safe and ethical manner to achieve the plan and that the production area is kept to a high standard of cleanliness as an ongoing process whilst maintaining current quality and safety standards and adhering to site rules and guidelines.
  • You will be an advocate of continuous improvement and assist in implementing continuous improvement activities on site. You may be required to perform periodic checks on production quality and register details on Standard form in line with Quality System.
  • You will have the ability to accurately record work on batch sheets and follow procedures accurately and safely. You will also draw samples to accurately represent the batches produced in accordance with the standard procedures and maintain electronic records within SAP.
WHAT YOU OFFER
  • You have a Level 2 NVQ in Performing Manufacturing Operations or equivalent.
  • You have a good level of numeracy and literacy skills and are a strong user of IT programmes, including MS office.
  • You have experience and knowledge of production processes.
  • Possessing an electric hand pallet / forklift truck driving licence would be preferred but not essential.
