The school offers a wide range of enrichment opportunities to help pupils develop independence, resilience, and confidence, preparing them for future success.The Role - SEN Teaching AssistantAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and SENCO to support students in Key Stages 3 or 4 with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN
- Assisting in the delivery of tailored interventions to support learning and personal development
- Encouraging engagement in lessons and promoting positive behaviour
- Helping students develop confidence and independence
- Working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
- Adapting learning materials to suit the needs of individual pupils
- A strong academic background - degree, A-levels, and GCSEs - ideal
- Experience working in education, specifically students with SEN, or a good understanding of this - ideal. More important are your consistency, emotional intelligence, and willingness to learn.
