- We are looking for a Lead Operational Support Technician to join our Manufacturing team.
- This is a shift-based role, working Monday - Friday 7am to 3pm. This may include ad-hoc evening and weekends shifts.
- In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating the work and managing the Operational Support Team (MST), providing essential support for the company's contract manufacturing operations in the production of Cellular Therapy Manufacturing Products.
- Provide direct line management and motivation to the Operational Support Team.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and performance management of the team.
- Maintain work schedules aligned with the Master Production Schedule.
- Ensure high performance and quality of output from the team, and manage financial accountability such as timesheet completion.
- Perform all activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Assist in the manufacture of Cellular Therapies and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) within a controlled clean room environment.
- Perform controlled cleaning and maintenance of laboratories, clean rooms, and equipment per approved SOPs.
- Complete quality-related documentation, including Batch Records, Change Controls, Deviations, Risk Assessments, and Corrective and Preventative Actions.
- Ensure stock checks and re-stocking of consumables and materials.
- Manage the transfer of materials, paperwork, equipment, and other items into the cleanroom areas.
- Ensure the processing and disposal of biological laboratory, generic, and recyclable waste.
- Oversee reviewing and archiving completed documentation.
- Provide support for out-of-hours, weekend, and overtime cover as required.
- Experience in a cGMP clean room production environment or similar controlled scientific environment.
- Line management experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail with a drive to continually develop and improve processes.
- Ability to work effectively within a small team and share knowledge with the Production team and wider team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- HNC in Life Sciences or a related subject, or equivalent training and experience.
