Our telephone triage services and out-of-hours services provide advice, information and treatment for NHS patients who become unwell during the out-of-hours period, when their own GP surgery is closed.You will be managing the operations team, consisting of coordinators, receptionists, drivers and other non-clinical staff. You will ensure that the teams are performing efficiently, conducting regular appraisals, training and relevant recruitment as and when required.You will actively monitor and report on the service's performance and needs. As a leading contact, you will be motivating our staff to hit KPIs and develop even further so that we can give our team and patients alike a quality service.This is a Full Time role (37.5 hours), with a proposed working pattern of Tuesday to Saturday - 11.00 - 19.00.What you'll be doingYou will be experienced in managing a team, preferably within a healthcare or operational setting. This means you will be a firm but fair leader with good interpersonal skills, who is able to communicate with both their reports as well as the wider team, including clinical staff, managers and resourcing.You will be a problem solver who can make decisions under pressure, and have the ability to analyse data (eg performance data). This will guide you in troubleshooting and implementing ways to make our services as efficient as possible. As such, you will also have a proficiency in Microsoft Office, not only to use as a means for data handling and correspondence, but also to be able to present your ideas and findings.The Operations Manager will maintain oversight and hold responsibility of day-to-day management of South West London’s Integrated Urgent Care services. The service provision includes a Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) which runs on a 24/7 - 365 days per year basis and an Out-of-Hours (OOH) service which comprises of Primary Care Centres (PCC) and a Home Visiting Service. OOH services typically operate outside of traditional in-hours GP Services opening times.Supported by a CAS Lead, OOH Lead and PCC/Visiting Lead, the Operations Manager will report into the Service Delivery Manager who holds local accountability for performance, quality assurance and financial performance.What we'll look for in youPractice Plus Group is passionate about great healthcare.
