The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering mechanical engineering design solutions across a diverse range of projects including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors.

- Lead mechanical design and engineering on projects from concept through to completion
- Prepare and review detailed calculations, specifications, and design documentation
- Produce drawings and BIM/Revit models to a high standard
- Manage project deliverables including design risk assessments, client liaison, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers
- Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards and regulations (e.g., CIBSE, Building Regulations, Part L)
- Keep up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (BEng, MEng or equivalent)
- Typically 6+ years' experience in mechanical building services design consultancy
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, heating, ventilation, cooling, and renewable technologies
- Experience with design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant calculation tools
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead design teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of UK building regulations, CIBSE guides, and sustainability principles
- Chartered status (e.g., CEng, MCIBSE) is preferred but not essential
