We are ideally looking to speak with individuals in the London and surrounding counties who have a clean driving license. An experience in facilities management would be advantageous but is not essential.The role of a fire extinguisher engineer is varied with many different types of site to visit such as offices, schools, warehouses, MOD sites etc. Some days you will be carrying out servicing and other days you will be carrying out remedial works that have been quoted for on previous service visits.A typical day would include:
Receive your jobs via a PDA
Attend site for 8.30am and use your customer service skills to introduce yourself to the client. You may be required to sit an induction depending on the site.
Service fire extinguishers ensuring safe working practices.
Write a short report using the PDA. This report will be the clients certificate of attendance and compliance so needs to be accurate with attention to detail. The client needs to be able to understand and sign for the report before leaving site.
Once your first job is complete you would either move onto your next job, head to your stores to collect kit for the following day or head home.
