- Role Overview:
- The Business Development Associate position is a new customer facing role and is key to our ongoing success. You will be a key contributor, working within a dynamic sales team in partnership with our highly motivated technical experts supporting customer requirements. Specifically in the area of Environmental testing and EMC for the Aerospace and Defence part of the business.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the sales team to identify potential leads for testing and certification services.
- Proactively contacting prospective clients and evaluating their needs.
- Maintaining regular contact with existing customers, developing good customer relationships at all levels, and ensuring an excellent standard of service.
- Making connections to the appropriate sales resource within the team and ensuring a smooth handover.
- Conducting follow up calls to attain customer feedback on service delivery.
- Maintaining the CRM system with accurate data.
- Essential Criteria:
- A technical aptitude and experience which demonstrates your ability to quickly assimilate technical information.
- Customer-focus with relevant experience in a sales and technical environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A good collaborator with a positive 'can do' attitude, who actively and positively engages with colleagues with a proactive approach to change and self-development.
- Good people skills evidenced by constructive internal and external relationships.
- Comfortable dealing with customers and prospects at all levels.
- Commercial awareness and understanding.

- Experience with any of the following: Environmental testing, EMC, Radio, EMC, Safety, SAR and GMA services.
