SEN Teaching Assistant - DoverAcademics in Canterbury are seeking caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our friendly and inclusive primary schools in East Kent. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with additional needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored one-to-one or small group support to pupils with SEN
  • Adapt lesson activities to meet individual needs and learning styles
  • Support pupils in managing their emotions and behaviour positively
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs, where required
  • Maintain detailed records of progress and behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals
  • Promote inclusion and equal opportunities for all pupils
  • Uphold the school's safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
What we are looking for:
  • Be a newly qualified or experienced Teaching Assistant
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Have an empathetic, caring approach
  • Have a positive attitude with fantastic communication skills
  • Available on a full time basis until the end of the academic year
  • Right to work in the UK
