- Knowledge of developing protocols and SOP's
- Experience of audit
- Able to perform PDR's
- Specialist expertise underpinned by theory and extensive practical experience supported by masters level education
- In-depth experience through formal and in-house training to function at the level beyond that of a sonographer in an area of specialist practice including interventional techniques in chosen area of expertise
- ParticipatAbility to critically appraise / research publicationsion in audit
- Publication or presentation at national conferences
- Links with Higher Education Institutes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey clinical findings and impart bad news
- Flexible attitude to departmental duties, supporting lead sonographers and leading the team in their absence
- Committed to quality improvement and governance
- Team Leadership qualities
- Ability to fulfil the travel requirements of post
- Flexible attitude with respect to hours of work
- Prepared to support 7 day working
- Willing to undertake training, self-development and audit of own work
- Keep concise and clear documentation
- Work closely with the ultrasound leads and radiology management to ensure a high quality service
