Our client, a well-regarded name in the automotive industry, is seeking a Hands-On Workshop Controller to lead and develop their Maidstone branch. They are known for their excellent customer service, high-quality standards, and strong team dynamics. As a brand ambassador, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the branch's success and enhancing its profitability.Our client is seeking a hands-on workshop controller who can undertake repairs and fit parts, ensuring hands-on involvement in the workshop. The branch is a productive site equipped with state of the art equipment, based in a busy city centre location.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced workshop controller or an exceptional Assistant Manager / Vehicle Technician looking to step up to the next level.   • Salary: Negotiable, based on experience
  • Hours: 48 hours per week (Mon - Fri: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Sat: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

Duties & Responsibilities of a Workshop Controller :
  • Promoting and maintaining the company image, acting as a brand ambassador
  • Delivering outstanding customer service
  • Maximizing volume to ensure profit and financial targets are met
  • Coordinating and controlling the work of Autocentre staff, offering assistance and support as required
  • Undertaking repairs and fitting parts, ensuring hands-on involvement in the workshop
  • Ensuring the security of stock and monies, being accountable for any losses
  • Maintaining company housekeeping standards
About You:
  • You have hands-on experience and qualifications in the motor industry
  • Proven track record in vehicle tech work and willingness to continue with this as well as run the workshop
  • Excellent customer service skills and a desire to succeed
  • Ability to develop and drive a successful team
  • Polite, conscientious, and enthusiastic disposition
  • Keen to follow the company's ethos and contribute to the overall success of the branch
