- MB ChB (or equivalent)
- MBBS (or equivalent)
- Full registration with the GMC and licence to practise (or eligible for)
- Eligible for specialist register in Radiology
- CCT in Radiology (Or equivalent training) or within 6 months of attaining one at time of interview.
- Subspecialty training in Cross Sectional Radiology
- Evidence of continuing medical education
- Experience of teaching to medical and nursing staff and other disciplines
- Understanding NHS management structures and the principles of Clinical Governance.
- Ability to take full and independent. responsibility for clinical care of patients
- Willingness to participate in management activities
- Understanding of financial arrangements in the NHS
- Ability to plan strategically and to exercise sound judgements when faced with conflicting pressures
- Thorough understanding of the principles of clinical audit
- Publication of audit results
- Publication of audit results
- Understanding principles of research
- Proven track record in research
- Publication of research
- Success in obtaining funding for research.
- Ability to use Microsoft office packages, e.g., Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Ability to use patient information systems
- Ability to organise own time.
