Looking for your next leadership move in fresh produce? Want to live and work by the beautiful east coast of Scotland?
We're working with a long-established grower-supplier who operate across both fruit and veg, supplying top-tier UK supermarkets with fresh, seasonal produce. They're now looking for an experienced Packhouse Manager to take the reins of the veg operation.
The Role
You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the veg packhouse, managing a diverse team of around 30 packers (plus up to 3 supervisors), ensuring smooth and efficient operations across packing, audits, Health & Safety and compliance. You'll also play a hands-on role in managing seasonal peaks and workforce planning.
This is a role that still requires strong people skills, while there is some automation, the site remains heavily labour-focused. Communication is key here, with many returning seasonal workers from Eastern Europe, Kenya, and Central Asia. If you speak Russian (or any Eastern European language), that's a huge plus.
