
Senior Project Manager

- Communicate with clients and the laboratory regarding general/technical issues and questions about analyses, turnaround times, sample status, results etc. via phone and email
- Provide verbal and written quotations
- Review client requests and requirements for projects
- Coordinate complicated routine and non-routine client projects from beginning to end
- Obtain appropriate work authorization documents
- Identify and investigate any administrative or technical problems and coordinate resolution/corrective action
- Project Set-up
- Creates projects in LIMs based on quotes, existing projects or information provided by the client
- Creates bottle orders
- Schedules courier as needed
- Perform updates to existing Projects when needed
- Sample Receipt
- Reviews sample logins
- Generates subcontract paperwork
- Sends client sample receipt confirmation
- Reviews draft invoice
- Confirms that any client needed information is recorded in LIMs
- Reporting
- Creates and issues final deliverables
- Invoicing
- Reviews final invoice before issuing to client
- Performs invoice corrections as needed
- Assist with financial, purchase order and late payment issues as needed
- Other
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Serves as a mentor to less experienced Project Managers
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in related field (4 years of client relationship experience in a laboratory setting may substitute for a degree
- 2-4+ years of customer service experience in an environmental science or related field
- Previous relevant experience
- Computer proficiency
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous Project Management experience, preferably in a lab setting
- Proficient with various computer programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Professional communication skills
