- Managing an email inbox
- Residential market mapping
- Liaising and working closely with social care teams. Supporting them with advice and guidance regarding providers and cost negotiations.
- Relationship management with providers, ICB and social work teams. Acting as a key liaison contact with other services to request information in line with reporting deadlines
- Facilitating meetings and discussions
- Support the lead negotiator to provide training and upskilling to staff and providers as required to embed new ways of working
- Attend negotiation training and other related training
- Manage the CareCubed system and trackers to record costs saved
- Support project delivery in accordance with council financial, procurement, legal, gateway, and management procedures.
- Experience in adult social care and/or brokerage is beneficial.
- Experience of working within a project management framework to deliver against conflicting demands.
- Excellent personal organisation and communication skills.
- Skilled in the use of IT, including Microsoft packages, with a willingness to train in new systems.
- Knowledge of service procurement and contracting activity with providers including limited companies and other third sector organisations.
- Knowledge and experience of financial management and monitoring.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and resolve conflicts to achieve positive outcomes.
