An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse/ODP to join the team within the Endoscopy Unit at Prince Philip Hospital.The successful individual will work within a team assisting to deliver the highest standards of pre, peri and post-procedure care to patients undergoing a variety of Endoscopy procedures.This busy unit can work over six days a week, offering a service to both out-patients and in-patients offering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for adults.Main duties of the jobEndoscopy can offer support and training, to gain exceptional knowledge and skills in gastroenterology, inclusive of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, whilst assessing and treating a range of health conditions. Endoscopy undertakes a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy and Urology.Your day will be varied spending time with Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Nurse Endoscopists and Bowel Screening Wales practitioners. We offer a range of endoscopy training courses, from basic skills to advanced skills.
