Salary: £55,000-£60,000Navartis is working on behalf of a leading contractor in the infrastructure space who are delivering a range of high-profile aviation projects across major UK airports. With a strong order book and long-term growth plans, they are now looking to bring a Senior Health & Safety Advisor into the team. This would be the ideal role for an experienced Advisor looking to progress into a managerial position within a large company.The RoleYou’ll be the go-to person for health and safety across several live construction sites. Working closely with project managers, delivery teams, and the wider HSEQ function, you’ll take ownership of safety strategy, ensure compliance, and promote best practice across all levels of the project.You’ll need to be confident working across complex, high-risk environments—ideally with previous experience in regulated infrastructure or transport sectors.Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage health and safety performance across several active project sites
- Lead site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to embed a proactive safety culture
- Support training initiatives and deliver toolbox talks and briefings where necessary
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of H&S systems and processes
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Safety & Health
- Relevant HNC / HND degree
- Valid CSCS card
- Experience carrying out internal audits; internal auditor qualification required
- Familiarity with OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001 frameworks
- Up-to-date knowledge of current and upcoming health & safety legislation
- Confident presenting to and engaging with all levels of a business
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, guide, and advise operational teams
- Proven track record in a similar role within construction or infrastructure, ideally in a regulated or aviation environment
