If “YES,” we want to hear from you!About the RoleAs a Class 1 Driver, you will:
- Loading and unloading refrigerated vehicles at the depot and delivery points, ensuring goods are handled with care and in line with food safety standards.
- Daily delivery runs from Haverfordwest to ADA Stores across South Wales, typically involving 1 to 2 drops per shift, allowing for a focused and efficient workday.
- Handballing and self-tipping at delivery points—ideal for drivers who enjoy staying active and hands-on.
- Planning your own route each day based on delivery schedules and traffic conditions, giving you autonomy and control over your journey.
- Conducting thorough daily vehicle safety checks using a company-issued smartphone to log inspections and ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
- Maintaining clear and consistent communication with the transport team throughout your shift to provide updates, report any issues, and ensure smooth operations.
- Completing delivery paperwork and using digital systems to confirm deliveries and maintain accurate records.
- Participating in regular training sessions to stay current with industry regulations, safety protocols, and best practices—your development matters to us.
- Representing the company professionally at all times, providing excellent service to store teams and upholding our reputation for reliability and care.
- Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
- Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- At least 6 months HGV driving experience due to the nature of the role.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Confident, polite, and a team player.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
- Competitive Salary: £33,218 per annum - £35,986 per annum, depending on hours worked.
- Shift Hours: Start times between 02:00hrs and 10:00hrs, working on a 4on 4off shift pattern.
