These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.Connect to your opportunityDeloitte's UK SRTA legal team is looking for a commercial lawyer at Manager level to support Deloitte's SRTA practice on complex contracting and commercial negotiations.The SRTA legal team are comprised of lawyers who negotiate a variety of client contracts, develop product terms as well as negotiate supplier contracts and manage legal and risk issues for the SRTA business.This role will provide many opportunities to use contract drafting and legal research skills. Contracts might range from very high value managed service and framework agreements with the largest banks and government organisations to corporate clients seeking Deloitte's assistance with a transaction or corporate reorganisation negotiating Deloitte's standard engagement terms. This opportunity will require the individual to regularly be involved in commercial contract negotiations typically with external client legal teams and/or external lawyers instructed by our clients.An essential element of the role will be the individual's ability to undertake a variety of contract negotiations simultaneously while consistently delivering high-quality, business-focused solutions in a challenging, dynamic and demanding marketplace.The post-holder will also be a business advisor with a strong skill set to partner with the business, assessing and understanding how business risks can be managed in consultation with the relevant stakeholder.Connect to your skills and professional experienceOur lawyers are strategic, innovative, commercial advisors. We are seeking individuals that are able to be build strong business relationships with people at all levels across the firm.Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Lawyer with proven post qualified experience
  • Good experience of managing contract negotiations
  • Good understanding/experience of company and commercial law (including some exposure to technology contracts/software licences)
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with a good ability to prioritise
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Public Sector framework contracting experience would be particularly helpful
  • Experience gained within an 'in-house setting' would be beneficial
