What will I be doing?We're working to improve the lives of people in Somerset - and you'll be a key part of that. As a Parking Technical Support Officer your role will be essential for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of parking systems and infrastructure. You will be providing technical assistance and support to the Parking Asset Manager/Engineer, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to parking equipment and systems.Your day-to-day work will involve:
  • Responding to public enquiries related to the operation and use of car parks.
  • Assisting in the implementation of new parking technologies and systems.
  • Providing training and support to colleagues and stakeholders on parking systems.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and technical issues.
  • Sourcing and managing replacement parts and materials.
  • Preparing documentation and reports on technical support activities.
