With a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional opportunities, it prioritises building relationships, promoting independence, and fostering engagement through joyful learning experiences.About the Role:As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment. You will be working closely with teachers to support students with a range of needs, offering one-to-one and small group support.Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEN.
- Assist in implementing individual learning plans and differentiated activities.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support the development of students’ confidence, social skills, and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress and adapt support.
- CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN setting.
- A degree in Psychology, SEN, Counselling or a similar field is desirable but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
