If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!GSL Education are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant for an alternative provision SEN school based near Poole. The school are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for students with moderate to severe learning difficulties. Students benefit from small class sizes, collaborative planning between teachers and therapists, and a variety of enrichment activities designed to build confidence, independence, and personal growth.The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Must be patient and reliable.
- Be able to work well in a team.
- Be proactive in meeting student's needs.
- Having 1:1 experience with children with SEN is desirable, but not essential.
- Having experience with SEN in a secondary school setting is desirable, but not essential.
- Should be able to empathise with their pupils and be able to set a good example.
- Supporting the teaching and learning of SEN pupils across the school, working with struggling pupils or those who have become stifled by the curriculum.
- Helping them meet their potential through smaller booster groups and 1:1 sessions.
- Supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
- Working closely with the SENCO to monitor and advance developments in both academic and social areas.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
