Behaviour Mentor - Secondary School - EnfieldLong Term Futures are working with a diverse and well-structured secondary school in Enfield to recruit a Behaviour Mentor for September 2025.This inclusive school has a strong pastoral system and a dedicated behaviour support team that works closely with teaching staff, safeguarding leads and families. The school uses a restorative and relationship-based approach, focusing on early intervention, accountability, and consistent support for students at risk of disengagement or exclusion.The successful candidate will play a key role in managing behaviour both in and out of class and will help foster a safe, respectful and aspirational learning environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver 1:1 mentoring and small group interventions for students with behaviour or SEMH needs
  • Support students within lessons, during transitions and throughout the school day
  • Assist with behaviour reintegration following internal exclusion or incidents
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality and academic engagement
  • Liaise with Heads of Year, SENCo and external agencies as part of a joined-up support approach
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience supporting secondary-age students with SEMH or behavioural difficulties
  • A calm, confident and resilient approach to behaviour management
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships
  • A background in youth work, PRU, inclusion or school pastoral support
  • Knowledge of restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches is desirable
