Plus, you’ll be at the heart of Havering, a vibrant area with great transport links and local amenities.What You Will Do:Provide leadership and expertise in Safeguarding and DOLS, acting as an advisor on complex casesLead on case management of highly complex DoLS cases, incorporating elements of risk, capacity, and safeguardingSupervise and develop a team of Social Workers, offering guidance on the Mental Capacity Act, including Deprivation of Liberty, Best Interest Assessment, and the Mental Health ActDeputise for the Team Manager and manage delegated tasks as appropriateEnsure effective application of legislation, policy, and procedures in the execution of dutiesEssential Criteria / Qualifications Summary:A professional Social Work qualification with current Social Work England registrationDemonstrated commitment to professional development with evidence of post-qualification study and training such as Best Interests Assessor or Deprivation of Liberty SafeguardsProficiency in IT to efficiently handle case management systems and documentationExperience / Knowledge Summary:At least three years of experience as a Social Worker with substantial involvement in adult safeguarding and Best Interests Assessor workStrong understanding of legal and statutory responsibilities under the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health ActExtensive professional experience and knowledge of Section 21A process and Re: X proceduresDemonstrated experience in leading and supporting a teamWhy Havering?
