- Carrying out the Council's responsibilities to customers who are homeless or threatened with homelessness under its statutory duties
- Have an innovative approach to preventing and relieving homelessness
- An ability to assess housing need, identify support needs and work with partner agencies to bring about real improvement to people's lives
- Confidence to write detailed and legally sound decision letters in accordance with the relevant legislation
- Confidence, enthusiasm and a flexible approach;
- Excellent administration skills, numeracy skills, accuracy and attention to detail;
- Good keyboard skills and the proven ability to learn and utilise new software;
- Good customer care skills;
- The ability to discuss sensitive issues with our customers calmly;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Full driving licence and use of a car are essential;
- 5 GCSE's (Grade C (4) or above) or equivalent, including English and Mathematics
