Working alongside experienced subject teachers, you will help raise student attainment and engagement across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering one-to-one and small-group academic interventions.
- Supporting pupils’ learning and progress in STEM subjects.
- Assisting in lesson planning, preparation, and classroom delivery.
- Providing exam preparation and revision support for GCSE and A-Level students.
- Gaining insight into a range of teaching strategies and learner needs.
- A 2:1 degree or higher in a STEM subject (e.g., Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, or Engineering).
- Strong subject knowledge and academic confidence.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- A proactive, professional, and enthusiastic approach.
- A genuine interest in supporting young people to succeed.
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, outreach) is beneficial but not essential.
