- Bursary Administration: Process student bursary applications, check all required documentation, and allocate funds in a timely manner.
- Student Support: Respond to bursary-related enquiries from students via email, phone, and in-person drop-ins, providing clear guidance and support.
- Financial Coordination: Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure bursary payments are made regularly and accurately throughout the year.
- Policy & Reporting: Assist with the annual review of bursary policies and procedures, and compile data for appeals and key performance indicator (KPI) reports.
- General Administration: Maintain accurate and confidential records on college systems, support with wider administrative duties during peak periods, and contribute to the Student Services front desk.
- Qualifications: A good level of education, including GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent), with a Level 3 in Business Administration being highly desirable.
- Experience: Proven experience in a busy administrative role, particularly with using bespoke ICT software and databases. Experience in a post-16 educational environment is a plus.
- Skills & Abilities: Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and manage your own workload, and strong communication skills. You should also be able to work with young people with patience and understanding.
- Flexibility: The willingness to work flexibly and travel between the Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses as required.
- Professionalism: A high level of personal integrity, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and a genuine interest in helping others.
