General Service Assistant, Part-time, TemporaryLocation: Glencorse Army Barracks, Penicuik, EH26 0NPContract: Part-time, Temporary (until February 2026)Hours: 30 hours/week over 5 days (including occasional weekends)Pay: £12.21/hourAbout the RoleJoin Aramark UK’s Defence team as a General Service Assistant, where you’ll be at the heart of front-of-house operations. You’ll serve food and beverages, operate tills, maintain cleanliness, and support both front and back-of-house areas—all while delivering top-tier customer service.Key Responsibilities
  • Serve food and drinks to customers.
  • Operate tills and handle payments.
  • Clean and maintain dining and service areas.
  • Support kitchen and service teams.
  • Follow health & safety protocols.
  • Report to the on-site Catering Manager.

Requirements
  • Previous food service/customer-facing experience (training provided).
  • Must be 18+.
  • Eligible to work in the UK and have lived here for 3+ years (security clearance required).
  • Reliable transport due to limited public transport access.
