
Night Control Operator (Dorchester)

- Operate the AD plant unsupervised outside of normal working hours.
- Monitor and respond to the company's SCADA system to identify and rectify operational problems.
- Liaise promptly with on-call Plant Operators and the Plant Manager to ensure minimal disruption and safe operation of the plant.
- Coordinate with the on-call maintenance team to log and carry out maintenance work timely.
- Perform minor mechanical maintenance repairs.
- Operate the weighbridge.
- Accurately record operational and maintenance events in the company's database for handover to day staff.
- Prepare routine performance reports.
- Experience working in a similar operational site.
- Previous maintenance experience is desired.
- Experience operating a control room system.
- Previous experience of night shifts and lone working is desirable.
- Solid understanding of environmental and commercial issues affecting plant operations.
- Proficiency in monitoring via computer technology.
- Excellent IT skills with strong numerical, analytical, and diagnostic abilities.
- Full UK driving license.
- Preferred experience in operating a telehandler, tractor, or forklift (training provided).
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance
- This role will involve lone working and providing holiday cover for team members when required.
- A full clean driving licence is essential
