We welcome the challenge to work in new ways and have trust in you when getting the job done because we recognise, our business is our people.Job DescriptionThe Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration and test of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.Working within the Quality Assurance Team reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for maintaining company and customer quality standards of product and process.Responsibilities:
  • Work to priorities set by the Quality Assurance Supervisor within the team as directed by Production Planning to maximise due date conformance without compromising quality.
  • Ensure quality levels are monitored and maintained so that product and documentation conforms to company and customer quality standards and process control.
  • Ensure that any deviation from company and quality standards are only accepted in-conjunction with a signed concession/PP and Shop Packet.
  • Ensure all First Offs, Stage/Batch Inspection and Final Release Inspection of product is carried out IAW relevant IPC criteria, company and customer requirements and specifications.
To include:
  • DSQR Release
  • Defect recording, when found
  • Validating of C Of Cs produced by CEMS
  • CEMS production documentation (Shop Packets) is correctly filled in IAW the latest Shop Packet training
  • Updating the skills matrices and Production Operator training logs when carrying out 1st Offs
  • Ensure all relevant Manufacturing, Quality and Customer Returns data is accurately recorded in line with company procedures and customer standards.
  • Ensure that the Shop Floor/work area is kept neat and tidy at all times IAW 6S and FOD processes. Regularly monitor ESD working practices.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing Departments on Quality defects/issues and aid with 8D investigations as required, ensuring continuous improvements throughout the manufacturing department.
  • Have full understanding of AS9100 and NADCAP requirements and liaise with Quality Engineering regarding any issues.
  • Attend internal, external and on the job training for continuous development as instructed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor, Quality Manager and the Production Manager.
  • Comply with company procedures such as ESD protocols and Health & Safety.
  • Ensure all equipment/tooling is kept in a serviceable condition and regular, preventative maintenance is carried out.
  • Carry out other related tasks as specified by the Quality Assurance Supervisor, Quality Manager and the Production Manager.
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Good attention to detail
  • Understanding of quality standards
  • Able to liaise with other departments
  • Experience of working to IPC 610 inspection standard
