
Assistant Project Engineer - Water Industry

- Assist in the design and planning of water infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review survey data.
- Prepare technical reports, drawing and specifications.
- Analyse data from flow, pressure and water quality assessments to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
- Work with senior engineers, clients and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure all designs and projects adhere to local and national regulations, sustainability practices and industry standards and meet all responsibilities as outlined in the RPS HSE policy and management systems.
- Strong, demonstratable understanding of the hydraulic network.
- Water industry knowledge: clean water networks, infrastructure and water quality parameters.
- Good communications skills - oral and written.
- Demonstrate a level of competency in creating schematics, drawings and technical documents.
- Understanding of field work relevant to the role.
- QA experience of reviewing work produced by others.
- Experience working in a team setting, with exposure to client faced interactions considered a plus.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable experience required, but not essential, in discipline-specific network modelling applications such as InfoWorks ICM, InfoWorks WS Pro or SynerGEE, with InfoAsset experience also beneficial.
- Knowledge of GIS software (preferably MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Proficient with MS office suite focusing on Excel and Power BI being advantageous.
- Preferably degree qualified in a relevant technical subject.
