  • Provide leadership for the delivery of Workday Platform enabled business solutions
  • Assess and understand requirements to recommend the optimal technology solutions to address client needs
  • Define the Business Case for Workday Platform enabled business transformation
  • Support our clients shape and deliver their transformation agenda
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and innovation and become a trusted advisor to the CIO, COO, CFO and other key decision makers
  • Develop internal business transformation capability in Deloitte North South Europe (NSE) Workday team, through structured, formal development and leading the team, demonstrating role model behaviours, including engaging clients in solving business problems
  • Combine industry insight with knowledge of core finance and performance management applications, cloud adoption and digital enablers
  • Understand the business processes, tooling and capabilities required to orchestrate data driven decision making
  • Understand Workday platform and complimentary products to address client needs
  • Build effective relationships across the global Deloitte Workday network.
Connect to your skills and professional experienceAs a Workday Director in our Emerging Technology team, you will play a key role shaping and building our Workday practice in the UK and across NSE. You will help our clients transform the way they run and manage their business, you will use your expertise to build and develop our internal capability. The role provides the opportunity to support our global strategic clients address their most significant business challenges alongside building a successful team.You will play a key role supporting C-level executives define the solution architecture and roadmap to shape the future operations and finance function.You will provide a unique perspective combining industry insight, knowledge of Workday enabled business transformation, cloud adoption and disruptive digital enablers to deliver value to our clients. You will use your knowledge of business process, Information Model and Microsoft technologies to design solutions and future products and services, influencing critical business architecture and value decisions.You will use the extensive experience you have gained though-out your career to build and develop our internal capability, assess training needs and be a role model to our emerging talent, demonstrating how you engage and work with clients to solve their most complex business problems.Your professional experienceEssential:
  • Proven experience with full life-cycle technology implementations
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in ERP implementation methodology and principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of establishing and embedding effective solution governance
  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science (or related software engineering field) and/ or Finance related degree, or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability and keen interest to develop talent and build a high-performing team.
Desired:
  • Demonstrated understanding of the current state of the art for automation, continuous integration/deployment and cloud-based delivery models
  • Comfortable talking about technical issues with non-technical team member and to the client leadership team
  • Effective listening skills to understand and break down client business problems
  • Ability to share good practice and influence stakeholders on the merits of the solution you propose
  • Able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences
  • Ability to craft a compelling message and tailor it for a given audience, combining technical expertise with simple, everyday language to deliver a story
  • Demonstrated business domain and/ or industry knowledge
  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team and clients
  • Effective cross-functional project management, communication and stakeholder management
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a focus on translating business requirements into information models
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction
  • Experience in consulting or professional services.
