Position: Full-Time, PermanentAbout the Role:We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team in Basingstoke. Starting in September 2025, the successful candidate will inspire and educate students, fostering a love for food technology and healthy living.About the School:The school is based in Basingstoke and is mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 900 students in total. The school has a keen interest in promoting the learning of multiple languages in its students, as well as creating a friendly and enthusiastic environment through all aspects of teaching. The school place great value in their staff and offer loads of support to its team.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Food Technology to students of varying abilities.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets national standards and encourages creativity, practical skills, and an understanding of nutrition.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and participate in extracurricular activities and school events.
- Keep up to date with developments in Food Technology and education, integrating new knowledge into teaching practice.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
