We're currently looking to hire an SCM Make CAD Technician (Stencils & Dedicated Tooling)in our SCM PSP Engineered Products department at our coastal office in Weymouth. The key aim of this role is to provide technical support within the team that 'Tool Up' our customers electronics industry production lines.You will:
  • Be responsible for customer stencil design. Using CAD software, working to established specifications and procedures, utilising their technical SMT and Stencil design knowledge.
  • Evaluate customer Issues, technical requirements, and printing process related issues.
  • Communicate with customers regarding orders/design and technical requirements of stencil orders.
  • Manage daily work, and individual tasks using database and ERP systems.
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding queries and orders.
  • Raise, investigate, and complete internal and external non-conformances against defective Stencil and Tooling using GFO/TFS database.
  • Uphold and maintain 6s in your area. This will include completion of cleaning schedules and area specific tasks.
  • Take part in all team meetings with Managers/team leads to communicate any issues encountered in your area.
About YouWe're looking enthusiastic individual to join our team! A person who is comfortable working both individually and as part of a team.
  • Should possess a proficient level of secondary education with a minimum of GCSE or equivalent level qualifications in both English Language and Maths.
  • Evidence of record of accomplishment of working on own initiative, with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum 1-2 Years Experience of CAD stencil design.
  • Understanding of 2D CAD design drawings
  • Experience in 2D CAD systems.
  • Experience with using SAP or other ERP.
  • Good Attention to detail, reading and following instruction.
  • Follow and understand procedures within a working process.
  • Ability to adapt to varying workloads via flexible remote or on site working.
  • Must possess an intermediate level of computer skill, to include a good working knowledge of MS Office
Desirable:
  • Experience in Solid Works or alternate 3D CAD software
