We’re looking for a Support Worker to join our vibrant team in Worcester!Who Will You Be Supporting?You’ll be supporting four fantastic young men aged 20–28 who live with learning disabilities, autism, and some mental health needs. They’re independent, full of energy, and love staying active. Here’s a glimpse into their world:
- Active & Social: They enjoy bowling, trampolining, long walks, and sports.
- Creative & Musical: One attends rock school and they all enjoy music and films.
- Community-Oriented: They love meals out, shopping trips, and spending time together.
- Support Needs: One gentleman uses a wheelchair for longer distances and requires some personal care support (e.g., shaving, washing, drying).
- Promoting Independence: Encouraging the young men to do as much as they can for themselves.
- Engaging in Activities: Supporting them in their favourite hobbies and outings.
- Providing Light Support: Assisting with meal prep, light cleaning, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment.
- Offering Emotional Support: Helping manage anxiety and behaviours of distress with a calm, positive approach.
- Medication Support: Assisting with minimal medication needs (mainly one tablet and PRN as required).
- Day Shifts:
- 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
- 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Sleep-In Shifts: 10:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Paid to sleep)
